“The main scope of PGA Romania is to promote golf as a sport, also to assure a qualitative & professional framework for golf activities and to represent the interests of golf professionals irrespective of the type of golf related activity those are undertaking steered through the guiding principles of Togetherness, Collaboration & Development.
Professional Golfers Associations have stood as organizations of quality, contribution, and service for over 100 years. The first Professional Golfers Association, formed in 1901 in London, England, was followed by the PGA of Australia and PGA of Canada in 1911 and the PGA of America in 1916, all of which shared similar traits and structures.

Our 7 strands
There are 7 strands that can contain strategies, assets and activations to achieve these 6 service areas: Membership, Education, External relations, Communication, Commercial, Events, Golf Development.
PGA Members have been at the forefront of the development of the game for well over a century and are actively involved in every aspect of the game. PGAs and PGA Members represent the hallmark of quality, contribution, and service.
The traditional club professional role has been joined by highly trained specialists in coaching, club management, course design, rules, golf development, hospitality, equipment technology, playing and other areas of the golf industry.

The Association represents equally the interests of professionals in golf irrespective of gender, ethnicity, nationality or other criteria that could lead to discrimination.
“The purpose of the Association is to promote the practice of golf and to create a framework for the development of golf professionals, i.e. people who earn their living by working in golf and the golf industry, e.g. professional golfers, sports instructors specialising in golf, caddies, managers and qualified staff of golf sports clubs, greenkeepers, mechanics.
This purpose can be achieved through, but is not limited to, the following activities:
• Implementation in Romania of occupational standards specific to the golf industry;
• Organisation of courses for professional qualification in specific golf club activities;
• Establishment of strategic partnerships with public and private organizations in order to achieve the Association’s goals and objectives;
• Creating a favourable environment for the development of golf at national level through partnerships with existing associations and sports clubs, as well as with the Romanian Golf Federation, Olympic Comitee or other similar organisations.
• Affiliation of the Association to international bodies in the golf sector, i.e. CPG, as well as establishing partnerships with similar associations from other countries, i.e. national PGAs;
• Organisation of golf competitions for amateurs and professionals, e.g. competitions for juniors, seniors, ladies, players with disabilities, pro-am or pro tour;
• Organising information events on opportunities in the golf industry;
• Support of the National Team in order to represent Romania at the Olympic Games, implicitly establishing relations with national authorities able to support this goal.
